In the heart of Porto Santo Stefano, on Monte Argentario, the gem of the Tuscany Coast, is a much loved three bedroom apartment with its own garden for outside dining and sunbathing in privacy, plus a sweet little terrace where you can enjoy an “aperitivo”, or a good morning coffee while watching the shining Mediterranean Sea as you you plan the day. Choose between a boating, or beach day, a trip to the islands of Giglio or Giannutri, a hike in the hills up to the old Spanish Fort, or just sunbathing in the garden, strolling the relaxed streets, and then stopping in to a local restaurant for an excellent value seafood or pasta lunch.
In addition to the prized outdoor spaces, the apartment offers three bedrooms, each with queen beds. Two are on the main floor, and one up the stairs. There are two bathrooms, each with toilet, sink bidet and shower. The Great Room for gathering together sports a high Cathedral ceiling, offering an airy feel, and refreshingly cool. There is a dining table for 6. The kitchen has all appliances and is well stocked with dishes.
After exploring the beaches, and restaurants of Porto Santo Stefano, you will also want to visit neighbouring and historic Orbetello, with its own character, landmark historic streets and delicious restaurants. Then on to Porto Ercole, on the other side of Argentario and a chic neighbour and twin to Porto Santo Stefano
The apartment is reached from the coastal road, up a climb of 65 broad steps, so not for everyone, but great for the young and the fit! The views are worth the climb, and its central location means that you can walk everywhere. The apartment, however, comes with 2 parking spaces (the drive around the Argentario Peninsula is breathtaking!).
