In southern Tuscany, in the area called the Maremma, Villa Speranza is a classic and luxurious Italian Villa set in vast magnificent gardens with views over the Tuscan landscape, just as you have dreamed of such landscapes. The Mediterranean beaches and the medieval village of Capalbio are both only ten minutes drive from the villa. Enjoy all that Tuscany has to offer in this fine Maremma Countryside villa as well as easy access to the Mediterranean seaside.
It is the home of an Aristocratic Italian family, who have looked after the property with love and great care. They have restored, decorated, and modernised it to create a country retreat that is both luxurious and extremely comfortable, as well as superbly refined and chic. They call it Villa Speranza.
Villa Speranza, a 12 hectare estate is surrounded by three hectares of manicured garden with mature and towering trees, as well as a priceless rose collection which you find will perfume the house with their delicate odour.
Within the house you will find 6 lovely bedrooms including 1 Master and 5 additional bedrooms that can be made as King or twins. Four bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms (1st floor), while two bedrooms share one bathroom. There is also a powder room on the entry floor.
In addition, there is a guest house with a bedroom and bathroom, plus a cinema room.
There are several spacious and gracious reception rooms including the principal large living room, a “salotto della musica” ( the music room), the “salotto dei giochi” ( the games room) and finally the “salotto della TV”, (of course, the TV room). There is a fine, fully equipped modern kitchen, as well as internet connection.
The couple who take care of the property live in a dependance off the main house, and the services of the cook can be added to the rental, to provide full meal services (think delicious homemade pasta!) and a REAL vacation!
The property is one hour from Rome’s Fiumicino airport, one and a half hours from Rome and Siena, twenty minutes from Monte Argentario, with its resorts of Porto Ercole and Porto Santo Stefano, and its islands of Giglio and Giannutri, perfect for day trips, and just ten minutes from the beach. Furthermore, it is close to ancient villages such as Pitigliano, Manciano, Scansano and Sovana; to Etruscan sites such as Vulci and Tuscania; to vineyards and beautiful landscapes. In sum, Capalbio is a blend of sea, unspoilt country and culture.
The Maremma is rich in archaeological sites, including the Archaeological Parks of Baratti and Populonia, the Necropolis of Monterozzi (Tarquinia) and, above all, the archaeological area of Vulci, the ancient Roman-Etruscan metropolis.
