In the Luberon amongst the Vineyards, Bastide with Pool in Provence, La Blancherie

In the heart of Provence is the Luberon, land of vineyards and sunflowers, fields perfumed with lavender,  famous painters, like Cezanne  and Van Gogh, and of course charming hill-top towns and delicious markets. In the heart of the Luberon is La Blancherie, an Eighteenth century Bastide set in 150 hectares including expansive vineyards. La Blancherie with a total of 7 Bedrooms and an 18 meter pool, is perfect for idyllic French holidays with family and friends. La Blancherie has been owned by the same  aristocratic family for over five generations, and it’s excellent history shows in its very bones. Totally renovated in 2017 with style and taste, it has become a gem from which to explore and enjoy Provence. There is a beautiful, frescoed 18th century chapel to bear witness to this past.  

 

Your home will consist of a line of beautiful vaulted triple reception rooms on the Ground Floor, newly restored and renovated – dining room, living room, and library plus a spacious and brand new kitchen. The beautiful stone vaulted rooms, overlooking a large terrace, just made for summer living, which in turn overlooks fields and vineyards. There is also a bathroom on this floor. 

One floor up, you will find a large living room, plus master suite with dressing room, bathroom and separate toilet; there is a second large master bedroom with its own bathroom, as well as two small bedrooms which share a bathroom. On the second floor there is another large master bedroom with a large double bed and a large bedroom with a standard double bed, as well as a child’s bedroom, and 2 bathrooms. There is  large living room with a kitchen that can function as an extra bedroom if necessary. 

Of course there is Wifi, Cable,TV, and a Sound System.

 

Outdoors is more magic: Enjoy outdoor living à la française. In front of the entry is a lovely restored stone fountain to grace the garden. There is a large 18 meter heated pool for swimming even in cooler months, and of course a beautiful covered terrace in front of the kitchen for easy outdoor dining, a joy of summer. There is also covered parking for 3 cars.

It is 35 minutes to Aix en Provence and to Manosque, 42 minutes to the Aix en Provence TGV station; it’s  50 minutes from Marseille Marignane airport, and 55 minutes from downtown Marseille. Museums and Other Sites include :
