“My family and I stayed here the week of my wedding which was also hosted on the property with 70 guests. It is a BEAUTIFUL estate situated near two beautiful towns, Grottaferratta and Frascati. The villa and its grounds were breathtaking. The staff also helped make sure our every need was met and assisted with planning every wedding detail. One of the highlights was the groundskeeper, Michele (Michael), who lives on the property. He worked tirelessly to make sure everything was perfect and even provided transportation during our stay. He was exceptionally pleasant and helped with many last minute tasks – like taking my wedding dress to a local dry cleaner to be steamed! This was a once in a lifetime experience that was truly a fairy tale for me and my husband. Adriana with Commendable Rentals was also in constant communication and helped arrange last minute transportation and dining reservations like a pro! “As two newbies to Uzes, we found Peta’s Place warm, welcoming, comfortable and centrally located. The exceptionally large chef’s kitchen was a delight as was the second story sun porch. “Le séjour fut à tout point de vue remarquable ! Nous avons été accueillis avec beaucoup d’attention et de prévenance et nous avons reçus toutes les explications indispensables pour passer le meilleur séjour possible. L’appartement est décoré avec énormément de soin et de goût. Il est à la fois moderne, confortable, très fonctionnel et parfaitement équipé. La literie est excellente, les deux salles de bain sont extrêmement agréables… Bref cet appartement est un véritable cocon. Il est en outre excellemment bien placé… dans un quartier de Venise avec beaucoup de charme et de caractère ; à quasiment 1 minute du traghetto qui permet de traverser aisément le grand canal, à 5 minutes environ d’une station de Vaporetto, et 5 à 7 minutes d’un supermarché de quartier où l’on trouve tout le nécessaire. Sa situation centrale permet en outre de rayonner dans l’ensemble des quartiers principaux de Venise en une quinzaine de minutes. “We came with all the family and had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. Very easy and central, the area is just incredible, not touristic yet very central and convenient to take boats (near the Academia bridge) and to walk around. Very nice restaurants below the property, on the Campo Santo Stefano. The hosts were great and everything went super smoothly. And we were with a baby and a stroller, and the two grandmothers, so the fact that there was a lift in the property was just incredible! Perfect Italian Family Vacation:

“Last fall our family (Seventeen in all) enjoyed eleven unforgettable days at Castello di Pergolato. Upon our arrival we were greeted with friendly and professional staff. The property more than met our expectations, finding it well maintained, with museum quality furnishings yet comfortable and inviting. The delicious and extensive breakfast buffet every morning provided a wonderful start to the day, well worth the additional cost. Also, the beautiful dining room and lovely table setting, with a fire burning in the huge fireplace added to the ambiance. The property manager was on site each morning to oversee the daily operations of the castle, always available to answer questions, helpful in making restaurant reservations, and even called a doctor for a house visit… much appreciated, especially when not speaking the language. The highlight was the prearranged, four course, candlelight dinner for our family. It was an amazing meal and beautifully executed… again, “kudos “to the entire staff… truly, a magical night! The only negative was that the castle, although somewhat handicap accessible, was not suited for someone in a wheelchair, such as my husband. Portable ramps were provided for entering or exiting, but the castle’s interior had many challenges. In addition, there were a few “issues ‘the first night concerning the water temperature and the heart, but those problems were quickly resolved the following morning. In conclusion, Castello di Pergolato is a gem, with good location to Florence, defiantly a property we would highly recommend. A note of gratitude also goes to Susan Doull of Commendable Rentals LLC, who did an extraordinary job helping us in the selection of this unique Castle, as well as securing medical Equipment, obtaining a car van and driver (Elie) who became like family, and always promptly returned any calls.
