ROME, THE HISTORIC CENTER

Our wonderful Rome Rentals create the scene for the best Roman Holidays. Rome, "the Eternal City", is the Capital of Italy and the seat of civilisation. It has been a required visit for millenia, and famously, from the 18th to 20th centuries, on the "Grand Tour". The historic Center of Rome is where history has unfolded for 2800 years. It is a living Museum, and part of the thrill of being there is to stroll the streets, many of which are pedestrian, and discover for yourself Rome’s hidden trasures on every block. Rome is a treat all year round. In summer, you cam stroll with gelato (delicious Italian ice cream) in hand, under perfectly blue skies – guaranteed – and eat your meals "al fresco" in outdoor restaurants and sidewalk cafes, and participating in the myriad art exhibitions and concerts. Fall is equally beautiful, a bit cooler in the evenings, and also offers a Festival of Cinema, in addition to museums, galleries, chic shops, and the restaurants, bars and cafes. Winter offers a beautiful and festive city full of lights, with the azure blue ski offset by the warmth of colourful buildings and the very effective orange-tinged street lighting. Spring comes early, and is a preview of summer, less hot but just as beautiful. You will of course, not want to miss the famous Roman Collisseum and the Forums, St. Peter’s and the Vatican, the Castello San Angelo, Piazza Navonna, the Pantheon, the Villa Medici, the Villa and Galleria Borghese, the Campadoglio, and so much more. Don’t forget "Maxi", the impressive new Museum of Modern Art.
